  1. This place is amazing. If you want to experience the nature and relax in an amazing area, then you should come here. It is also close to many naturalistic attractions. The tows close to the B&B are very nice as well. Ronald, the owner, is extremely kind, polite and a honest person. He was available to pick us up from and to the airport and he also helped us to visit attractions around. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing. And also the breakfast in the middle of nature is something that impressed us. I definitely recommend this place, it is truly amazing.

  2. I have never done a hotel review before, but as I am more than satisfied with the hospitality of the lovely family, I would like to highly recommend the B&B. Not only was the place clean and beautiful but done with a lot of love. The breakfast was delicious, including coffee, juice, eggs, empanada, fruits, bacon, toast and Jam. Our host was caring and helpful. He helped us to reserve a ticket for the entrance of Volcano Poas as it was in Spanish and quiet hard for us to understand. Furthermore, we had the opportunity to wash and dry our clothes. All in all, I would like to thank for the wonderful stay and recommend everyone to book a room at the B&B.

  3. Very friendly owner, suggesting sights around and in general extremely supportive

  4. Beautiful setting, spacious bedroom with lovely views over gardens and right next to the river – so flowing water and the sounds of nature to drift off to sleep with – perfect! Both Charles and his adorable mumma were really warm, friendly snd even though it was just a one night stay, I left feeling like one of the family – really good special people… pura vida, hope to be back soon!

  5. First impression, great welcome. Good breakfasts and the tour service, very good. We like to walk and the town was nice distance for our daily excerise.

  6. The view from the room was over a beautiful garden. Breakfast was good and prepared to our wishes.

  7. Amazing view and very nice hosts. The apartment is big , clean and well equipped. Had a great time here. From each room you have a view on the vulcano but also down on the city

  8. Spacious and well-equipped apartment, great views, pleasant climate at this altitude, very friendly and helpful host. Karol even took time to show us round the coffee plantations. Highly recommended!

  9. Great views, all facilities as described on site with everything very clean. It is sited a little out of the way which is what we wanted but only 15 mins drive to some large towns for food shopping and restaurants, and only 45 mins drive from the airport which is a nice prospect after a long journey! Karl was friendly and helpful and gave us info when we first arrived. It was a lovely start to our holiday.

  10. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the views from the property are amazing.

  11. The rooms were spacious, clean, and included a TV. The nights were cool so we left the door open and they have screens which was rare in CR. The bed was king size and has a net over it to keep bugs away but we had no problems. The young women managing the rooms was very helpful, and did a good job making breakfast. The grounds have many flowers.

  12. The location is extraordinary. Old style residence.

  13. We loved the climate, staff, pool, grounds, accommodation and daily breakfast.

  14. Simply love it! All you need to relax and find peace.

  15. Comfortable rooms with good facilities. Brilliant host and great breakfast. Views from the property are a real bonus. Ideal for a short stay in the countryside near San Jose

  16. Breakfast was always excellent. The location is at the West end of the town, but a short walk to the downtown area and the church. It was fairly quiet, although I did get some occasional truck noise as my room was closer to the street than other rooms, so I’m assuming they would be quieter. A good location to base out of to visit other towns in the area (San Ramon, Atenas). The family running the business was very friendly.

  17. Owner was very nice and the food and location were very good.

  18. The food was very good – traditional Tico style – very tasty and large portions. Great coffee!

  19. Marcos was extra helpful. Great location on city square and park.

  20. It is very cozy, there was hot water in the shower, the central location, the possibility to park the car within the facilities, several power outlets in the room, clean kitchen and bathroom.

  21. Directly across the street from the central park, with a lot going on. Bus stations, grocery, restaurants, taxis where easily accessible. The kitchen was adequate, though slightly dark. The older style outlets in our room all looked confusingly like telephone jacks, so once we figured that out, we had plenty of them (we actually thought at first it must have been an old call center or something).

  22. The place is awesome!very clean, nice and very quiet,a very pleasent atmosphere! The owner is unbelievably nice-he picked us up from a meeting point, he drove us to the airport,we could wash our cloth there and the breakfast is very fresh and very tasty! Would definetly recommend if you don’t want to stay in San José!

And also the breakfast in the middle of nature is something that impressed us. I definitely recommend this place, it is truly amazing.

  202. Lovely secluded hotel but within an hour of the airport. We were very glad to have chosen this as our stop off for two nights before leaving Costa Rica rather than a stopover in the city. 203. Friendly and close to the airport. Owner recommended a good restaurant. Everything was what we expected.

  204. Everything was very good – except the roads and the directions to get here. We had to ask several people how to get here as our GPS didn’t identify this hotel. The road to it is very poor and narrow like many roads in Costa Rica. The people are among the most friendly anywhere on earth.

The garden is very pretty with comfortable chairs to sit and relax. Breakfast is good, rooms are comfortable. Excellent value for money.

Both Charles and his adorable mumma were really warm, friendly snd even though it was just a one night stay, I left feeling like one of the family – really good special people… pura vida, hope to be back soon!

  293. First impression, great welcome. Good breakfasts and the tour service, very good. We like to walk and the town was nice distance for our daily excerise.

  303. Marcos was extra helpful. Great location on city square and park.

  304. Very friendly owners, everthing clean. No problems.

  306. Owner was very nice and the food and location were very good.

  311. We booked for the last couple of nights of our holiday because it was fairly close to the airport. Ronaldo was a fantastic host, he picked us up from the bus station in Grecia, gave us a lift to a local restaurant both evenings and took us to the local farmers market on Friday where we could buy lunch and drove us to the airport at the end of our stay. The garden is very pretty with comfortable chairs to sit and relax. Breakfast is good, rooms are comfortable. Excellent value for money.

  331. Lovely secluded hotel but within an hour of the airport. We were very glad to have chosen this as our stop off for two nights before leaving Costa Rica rather than a stopover in the city. Near some interesting tourist spots and a few minutes from Grecia, a pleasant town with nice eating places. Very clean accommodation.

  332. Friendly and close to the airport. Owner recommended a good restaurant. Everything was what we expected.

  333. Everything was very good – except the roads and the directions to get here. We had to ask several people how to get here as our GPS didn’t identify this hotel. The road to it is very poor and narrow like many roads in Costa Rica. The people are among the most friendly anywhere on earth.

The rooms have everything you need if you want to cook there and save some money. They are equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, dishes, pans, a one burner over-the-counter range. Many attractions near-by. You must visit Póas volcano!

  462. Nice location amongst the hills above Grecia. Good bungalow & terrace with mountain view. Spa bath & shower with hot water for a change! Reasonable breakfast.

  463. A really nice place right in the middle of Grecia, perfect for people looking for a place to stay before a long trip to Guanacaste, Puntarenas or the northern parts of the country. You will also have easy access to places like Bajos del Toro and Poas Volcano.

  464. Helpful staff Very central Parking available Cozy room Nice garden

  465. Very cool garden (although everywhere have been cans of beer..). Safe parking spot for our car. Balcony with view on the park.

  466. The owner was absolutely amazing. Welcoming, friendly, extremely helpful. Made us part of the family. Breakfasts were great.

  467. Very friendly owners, everthing clean. No problems.

  469. We thought that Terraza guest house was the nicest guest house that we had stayed in Costa Rica up till then. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms have a good bathroom. There’s also a nice balcony with a fantastic view of the wonderful garden which is filled with fruit trees and a stream running through it. Charles and his mother were great hosts. The breakfast was excellent consisting of fresh fruit followed by a traditional tico breakfast of rice beans eggs and either French toast or toast with Jam. I would recommend it.

  471. First impression, great welcome. Good breakfasts and the tour service, very good. We like to walk and the town was nice distance for our daily excerise.

  472. B&B Garden Grecia is run by a local family who are very welcoming. The afternoon we arrived it was pouring. We were met with an open umbrella and encouraged to settle in and relax. Breakfast was lovely, and even with leaving very early for the airport we were sent off with cut fresh fruit. Highly recommend staying here!

  473. The open kitchen where you could make drinks and store food/drinks was brilliant. The free to use laundry room was great. Ronaldo helped us with our plans every day

  474. Cared for very well by staff. Very congenial host who loved to help heighten the experience. Offered ride to town and arranged transportation back to the city for my next stop.

  475. Very helpfull and nice owners. Beautifull location. Really big appartment.

  493. The owner Ronald went out of his way numerous times to make sure we got what we needed. He drove us into town several times as we did not have a car. He showed us around, gave us lots of tips of where to go, and drove us to a coffee tour. He was unfailingly kind and gracious, with good English skills and a wonderful sense of humor.

  592. The hotel is way above what I expected! Check in was very simple, hotel is extremely clean. The corner room number #4 was very nice and relaxing. Some of the best meals in Costa Rica!!! The staff is amazing and extremely friendly and happy to provide wonderful service. I will look forward to staying here again. $73/night with two full breakfasts included was a great value. Thank you to the staff!

  593. “Real” is exceptionally clean, staff are superb, the food is amazing. Breakfast is large, delicious and again “5Star” quality. The upstairs Bar, was a peaceful, relaxing and again the staff was grand in every aspect. This is not a touristy area yet “Real” has the “5 Star” drive. The young staff, are genuinely willing to help you in anyway possible and always with a sincerity that most, Major hotels lack. When in or near Grecia , this will be my home base always.

The rooms have everything you need if you want to cook there and save some money. They are equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, dishes, pans, a one burner over-the-counter range. Many attractions near-by. You must visit Póas volcano!

  612. Nice location amongst the hills above Grecia. Good bungalow & terrace with mountain view. Spa bath & shower with hot water for a change! Reasonable breakfast.

  613. A really nice place right in the middle of Grecia, perfect for people looking for a place to stay before a long trip to Guanacaste, Puntarenas or the northern parts of the country. You will also have easy access to places like Bajos del Toro and Poas Volcano.

  614. Helpful staff Very central Parking available Cozy room Nice garden

  615. Very cool garden (although everywhere have been cans of beer..). Safe parking spot for our car. Balcony with view on the park.

  616. The owner was absolutely amazing. Welcoming, friendly, extremely helpful. Made us part of the family. Breakfasts were great.

  617. Very friendly owners, everthing clean. No problems.

  619. Very helpfull and nice owners. Beautifull location. Really big appartment.

  620. Amazing view and very nice hosts. The apartment is big , clean and well equipped. Had a great time here. From each room you have a view on the vulcano but also down on the city

  621. El apartamento está súper nuevo, bonito y muy muy cómodo y agradable para desconectar y descansar. Rodeado de naturaleza y con unas vistas espectaculares.

  624. The open kitchen where you could make drinks and store food/drinks was brilliant. The free to use laundry room was great. Ronaldo helped us with our plans every day

  627. First impression, great welcome. Good breakfasts and the tour service, very good. We like to walk and the town was nice distance for our daily excerise.

  647. Friendly and close to the airport. Owner recommended a good restaurant. Everything was what we expected.

  648. Everything was very good – except the roads and the directions to get here. We had to ask several people how to get here as our GPS didn’t identify this hotel. The road to it is very poor and narrow like many roads in Costa Rica. The people are among the most friendly anywhere on earth.

Thank you to the staff!

  758. Javier was very helpful and courteous. Our check-in was fast and they had options for us. Very clean and quiet place, perfect for relaxing a couple of days. The rooms have everything you need if you want to cook there and save some money. They are equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, dishes, pans, a one burner over-the-counter range. Many attractions near-by. You must visit Póas volcano!

  759. Nice location amongst the hills above Grecia. Good bungalow & terrace with mountain view. Spa bath & shower with hot water for a change! Reasonable breakfast.

  760. A really nice place right in the middle of Grecia, perfect for people looking for a place to stay before a long trip to Guanacaste, Puntarenas or the northern parts of the country. You will also have easy access to places like Bajos del Toro and Poas Volcano.

  761. Helpful staff Very central Parking available Cozy room Nice garden

  762. Marcos was extra helpful. Great location on city square and park.

  763. The owner was absolutely amazing. Welcoming, friendly, extremely helpful. Made us part of the family. Breakfasts were great.

  764. Very friendly owners, everthing clean. No problems.

  768. First impression, great welcome. Good breakfasts and the tour service, very good. We like to walk and the town was nice distance for our daily excerise.

  771. The open kitchen where you could make drinks and store food/drinks was brilliant. The free to use laundry room was great. Ronaldo helped us with our plans every day

  772. Very helpfull and nice owners. Beautifull location. Really big appartment.

  773. Amazing view and very nice hosts. The apartment is big , clean and well equipped. Had a great time here. From each room you have a view on the vulcano but also down on the city

  774. El apartamento está súper nuevo, bonito y muy muy cómodo y agradable para desconectar y descansar. Rodeado de naturaleza y con unas vistas espectaculares.

  777. Breakfast was awesome and the place itself beautiful.

  778. La vista es increíble! Únicamente superada por la atención tan amable, profesional y personalizada del personal.

  808. Charming property in a rain forest setting, very comfortable beds, and so quiet! Lovely family-owned property with attention to detail and delicious breakfast!!

  810. Friendly and close to the airport. Owner recommended a good restaurant. Everything was what we expected.
